The pet store sold my nephew 3 FEMALE (haha) hamsters awhile back. Well needless to say, one was not a female. Now they have 14 little ones, each of the female hamsters are on thier second litter.
Question is, has anyone ever fed a BP a hamster? Do you think a BP would eat a hamster? Would a hamster be nutritious enough?
I dont even know if I could :bonk: the cute little things.
If any one knows or has anything to add, please let me know. I dont want any of them as pets, so if I take some they will be for food for my smaller BP.

Hampsters as food?
aaw, hamsters are sooo cute though! out of control if they start breeding, but still cute. but then some people think rats are cute too.

Lots of fur and fat. Ball pythons are finicky eaters as it is, I personally wouldn't risk messing with their food intake even if the snake decided to take it.

I have a friend who fed a few of my sisters mean hammies to his bp, went down just fine, no issues, but his bp is a garbage disposal. So, in short, if your bp will eat them, why not feed them off. (Mind you, this comes from a person who has a pet hammie)

If he'll eat it .. go for it. I might be concerned that they would only want hampsters again, but you've said in the past that Cheetah is a garbage disposal.

I fed Goblin, my adult male Bp, a hamster once. The local pet store had a nasty male hammy that was biting every kid who picked him up, and they gave the hamster to me for free when I bought a few rats. I whacked it just like I'd whack a rat, since I did not want it biting my snake. I tossed it in, and Gob ate it just like he'd eat anything. I would not feed them too often though, cuz hamsters seem to be more fatty.
