    how many people feed roaches?
so my crested I have had now for about 4 months and this guy is just not hiiting a growth spirt. he has only gained 2.5g in 4 months of having him and I am feeding him pangea food as well. changing that out every other day so it is fresh. well last month I started feeding roaches 2-3 a week and was wondering how many you guys feed a week and how often you feed them. if you guys say more than that I will buy a container and buy about 20 at a time. how hard is it to keep the roaches?

I'd say 2-3 a week is a good target for them. Keep him primarily on Pangea or Repashy diet though. Keeping B. dubia is very easy but they can climb tubs so be sure to run clear packing tape around the bin walls.

I feed roaches, they are easy to keep, do not cannibalize each other or stinks like crickets do and are very hardy.

    This is my setup

I keep them in my snake room where it is always warm (that's a very important part) but you can also use a heat pad to maintain proper temps.

I feed this http://www.pangeareptile.com/store/r...ug-burger.html which is water and food all in one, every now and then I give them some bread too.

All you need is a starter colony from someone local (getting an assortment with adult and nymphs is what I would recommend).

I feed roaches twice a week and the rest of the week I feed Pangea gecko diet http://www.pangeareptile.com/store/p...ecko-diet.html

My feeding schedule looks like this

    Monday CGD
    Wednesday Roaches
    Friday CGD
    Sunday Roaches

i'm assuming everyone is talking about dubia. I keep a colony but recently have started a colony of red runners. they stay smaller, reproduce faster, and make great feeders also. I wouldnt recommend them unless you have a use for a lot of them. I started with about 500 4 months ago and have continually fed them off and I am producing a couple thousand babies a month by my estimate.

Different species but I feed my leopard geckos dubia as a staple and supplement with meal worms. To keep breeding under control I use a UTH with a thermostat. When I have an over excess I buy a few plastic bins and sell starter colony kits on CL etc.
