PLEASE HELP...New to snakes and worried about his poop

Got my new ball a captive breed male I have been watching for more than a month now and even got to feed at the store to make sure he is an active eater before I got, after a long long journey home he got put in his new house. He is very very active when out and even when in in cage. He explores every thing and is normal for what I would expect. 5 to 10 minutes after first geting him in his new home he pooped normal urin crystal was present and even solid mass that look normal. How ever it was a little runny. He was housed alone and from the poop I had seen him do at the store it was more solid that this. My question is could the stress of travel and getting use to a new home cause slightly runny poop or should I take him and a fecial to the vet.. please help.....

Was this poop or urates because some of the urates may be liquid. Now if the poop is liquid and runny you got some internal parasites to deal with and you should take your Ball Python to the vet asap because it will cause alot of problems down the road and it is very easy to cure.

Could be parasites that caused his runny poop. If he was fine at the store, it could also be related to stress. Just keep an eye on him for now.

that's not always the cause of runny poop, is it?

Sounds to me like all the snake has done is present you with urates rather than any p00. Urates typically come in white-yellow lumps and often have a good bit of liquid expelled along with them. P00 looks like cat p00, sized appropriately for your bp. It should not be runny but may have some liquid expelled along with it as well.

Hmm, yeah make sure its Urates that came out ...
Cause when you see a poo log, you can't confuse it with urates! :shock:

Speaking of poo logs, my snake hasn't went in the last month or so ... Today I found the biggest poo log that ever came out of that snake ... It was atleast 3 inches long ...
