    So frustrated, ball refusing food
So my baby female Pastel came home around Christmas, and I've had to assist feed her since. She just doesn't want to eat on her own, and it's driving me and my husband crazy. I love the snake, and I've been giving her time to herself for many weeks before trying to feed her again, and she just doesn't want to eat, period.

Yes her husbandry is fine, she has recovered from snake mites, I've been treating her with PAM once a week for 3 weeks, and yet I still have problems getting her to eat on her own. Tonight I tried to assist feed her a rat fuzzy, and she is not wanting to eat it even then. I'm preparing to not feed her again for a while, yet I fear all that is going to do is make her skinny and malnurished.

    Any helpful information?

Persistence...and patience. I have two that hatched out last July who are just now eating on their own. Sometimes all it takes is one assist feed and they're good to go...sometimes it takes much, much more. I wouldn't wait too long between attempts. Just keep at it and they'll eventually figure it out...Good luck.
