CHE and their protection cages.

How close would you consider too close for a ceramic heat emitter to be to the sides of the side or bottom of the protector cage? I am worried about the metal of the cage itself getting too hot!

I made my cage so that the cover was either 1/2in away from the bulb on all sides, or an inch away. I've forgotten, and I suck at guessing length. lol Either way, it stays cool to the touch.

Thanks! The cage, heater and thermostat came today, just waiting on the holder to come and it will be installed!
