    Probably gravid...
My normal ball python that bred mostly to my pastel who produces more impressive normals than pastels (usually except 2 years ago when a beautiful female came out--took a break ) is eating a whole lot and packing it in already.

She ate 3 medium rats in the last week. I fed her to the usual schedule, and then she moved to the part of the tank where she gets fed and then kept staring at me, in her usual manner and then when I refused, she put her nose to the top of the tank. When I opened the tank she went into feeding position. So I tried a rat off of her normal schedule and she took it. And then another one today. That's more than she usually takes.

She's about 2,000 grams or so (won't hold still for the scale.)

She got some lumping about a month or so ago. She's looking very fat even without eating 3 rats in a week. She's still looking interested in food. She tipped her water bowl over a few times during breeding season which she usually doesn't do and also when the bowl was low on water. (She's a bit odd for a ball python from what I gather. She usually hates going back to her tank except when gravid (She's grumpy when gravid). She moves around a fair bit. She lets me know when she's hungry--sometimes she'll come out and stare at me with her head raised just slightly until I give her food, eats then she goes back to her hiding place.) She's also looking a little like her glowy self. (I dislike her glowy colors.)

She's looking super fat. But then, she ate throughout the winter too. She acts like a description of a boa sometimes--eats steadily, rarely refuses food, hates going back to her tank. Loves being out.

She usually lays May 12th (She rarely deviates from that date.) but maybe she'll lay early this year? She's ahead of schedule.

that is A LOT of food in one week. I'd stick to her normal schedule.

If she's eating that much, she's probably not gravid yet. I have a girl who laid end of May and I'm looking for an ovy in March. From what I gather, they usually stick to their schedule but could be about a month early. I think you're just seeing her build.
