    right now i am getting ready for a garage sale tomorrow and i found two human heat pads that are pretty big i was going to sell my fish and put rocky in thier 39 gal tomorrow but i dont have enough eco earth to cover the whole thing and i dont have a screen top, i can improvise with newspaper for subsrate but what could i use for a top !?! or should i just wait until i can get to the pet store ?

    i'd wait because you know what good escape artists these bps can be. i wouldn't want use anything rigged for the lid and risk him getting out. improvising with newspaper or paper towels is fine. maybe someone else will have a good idea for the top...

    Good idea Brandon. You can definitely substitute paper towels or newspaper for the substrate tho.

    umm...i would suggest some chicken wire some how strapped down onto the cage...how? i dunno...i'll let your imagination figure something out. Most pet stores usually sell wire mesh cage tops.
