Is that him or the shed? I've had a few who had signs of light bleeding around the spurs after a shed - can you tell the source of the blood - can't really make it out.

Jason, its normal for them to shed their anal spurs everyonce in a while. That is probably the source of the blood.

Make sure his cage is good and clean and it wouldn't hurt to apply some neosporin and keep and eye out for infection, but it should be fine.

smulkin, i just checked on him, and it does look as if its coming from the spurs, but both spurs are still there. that is him.

i think led4urhead just solved it in the chatroom. he said one of the anal spurs probly sheded and thats what caused it. any other advice would be greatly appreciated though. thanks guys

Yes, that is most likely what happened. You just need to watch out for infection from a dirty enclosure, but it should be fine.

That is exacly what happened. Jojo shed his spurs alot when he was younger and noticed blood around his anal spurs. Not too much to worry about but like marla said use a dab of neosporin to prevent infection.
