    humidity questions help plz
Ok ive had my bp for almost 2 months an when we first got him we were wetting towles and placing them on his tank to keep humidity up well that works for a hour or so that wouldent be a problem for us to keep wetting them but me and my husband work from 8 am till sometime 6 or 7 in the evening so a few days ago we went and bought him a repti fogger well it works great but my problem is is even on the lowest setting it keeps his humidity at 65 and I know it has to be betwen 50 or 60 I dont want to keep turning it off couse then it drops way to low but I know if it stays to high he can get scale rot what can I do

    Add this .

    http://www.amazon.com/Zoo-Med-HygroT...s=repti+fogger

It has a sensor for both heat and humidity. You can set the level you wish the humidity to stay and it will turn the fogger on and off as needed.

Your humidity is fine during non shed at 40-50. Shed times 50-60 should work fine.

You can also use Herpstats that have this same ability (the 1, 2, and 4 will, not the intro or basic) but they are gonna be more money. This may be an option if you could use a better tstat too. Then a Herpstat can handle all your needs.

The HygroTherm should be available at both big box pet stores.

I use a glass tank with humid hides (dampened moss in hides) but I'm sure my humidity never gets above 60 for long and I have prefect sheds every time. If you can maintain a high level great but just know that you don't have to kill yourself trying to keep it that high. The main thing is giving a boost during a shed. I do this by making sure the moss stats damp while non shed I will let it dry out.
