I just gave Ramona a rat. She struck and wrapped a loop of herself around the rat (f/t). Sometimes she just sits like that for a minute . . . not really constricting exactly (since she's not squeezing) . . .just waiting, with her mouth around the head and one loop of her body around the rat. Then after a minute or two, she eats him.

This time she's still in that weird position. That's it. It's like she's stuck. Is this ok? (It's been about 5 mins).

What is Ramona doing? Is this normal?
Perfectly normal. She probably is just sizing up her prey and getting ready to eat it. Sphinx is the same way.

Sometimes my bp is a slacker too. Take it as a sign that your bp feels secure enought to just take their time like that.
