a few questions for the Rabbit ppl out there
Ok so...
my best friend and I got his two daughters a rabbit for christmas and him and I got one each as well...
The 3rd rabbit (2 are lionheads and 1 is a dwarf)...the 2nd lionhead is peeing a lot and the majority of it is very cloudy...just wondering what the cloudiness could indicate?
also just wondering how long it usually takes to potty train them so to speak?
all in all love having some pet rabbits...very fun little mammals!!
Thanks!

Welcome to the wonderful world of rabbits. Cloudy pee happens, it usually isn't anything to worry about. As long as they act normal, drink, and eat they should be fine. When potty training them start with a litter box. But do not put in the cage until the rabbit has chosen a certain corner and consistantly uses that corner to potty in. Other wise the litter box will become a bed and that gets annoying because they love to fling them around at that point. This will also be much easier if all the rabbits have there own cage. When you add the litter box put all there waste in it. And if they potty outside of it do not punish them but move the waste to the litter box. Most will pick up decently fast. Be patient. It will happen. It becomes much more consistant once they are 6 months old. Because they can focus a bit more. Good luck.
