    Regurgitated Dinner
Greetings, all. I recently experienced a snaked regurgitating it's meal. Now, before anyone asks, my husbandry hasn't changed. Ambient temps are in the mid 80's, basking spot is just over 90. Humidity stays between 55-65. I've got two similar hides on each side of the cage. I recently started feeding every 5 days as opposed to every 7 as I learn more about raising snakes. Is it possible that the snake just might have been overfull? I've got several snakes, and this is the first time I've experienced this. Any thoughts would be most helpful.

What do you feed? F/t or live? How was rodents size?

It was a live rat pup/weanling. That in-between size. Around 32 grams. Snake is around 230 grams. The rat was a little smaller than the girth of the snake.

Weird for it to regurge for no apparent cause. You didn't handle it or anything?

Short term, I'd wait a couple weeks before offering food again to let the stomach settle completely. Then offer a smaller meal size than you would normally, and go back to a feeding schedule of every 7 to 10 days.

Watch the snake, wait, and see. Could be a fluke. Doublecheck your heat pad and thermostat and everything just in case; I recently discovered that one of my heat cables had gone out and it was only because one of my usual garbage disposal feeders stopped eating. Checked the heat and turns out one of the three heat cables I use to heat the cages had stopped working.
