    Stressed ball python
My hatchling normal ball python, Cave, I haven't seen him rest for awhile now. It's been about 2 weeks with him like this, he keeps moving, not going into his hide. He still eats and everything. I am using half log hides, which I think those may be an issue on security. He is too big for them now.. Is that his issue? I don't want my ball pythons stressed. He doesn't have mites that I am aware of. I rarely hold him being like this. I don't want to cause unnecessary stress.

    Please help!

What are the temps? What's the humidity levels?

How big is he (weight in grams)? What are you feeding him? How often are you feeding him?

If you think it's a hide issue, get him something else besides the half logs. Anything completely closed in will work.

Are you feeding him proper sized meals?

I believe you just answered your own question. BPs like dark and secure places to hide in. With half logs, he might feel a bit exposed. I don't know if you're going for practical or aesthetic hides, but I'd recommend getting Reptile Basics hides which are decently cheap and provide your BP with proper security.
