The future of morphs
Hello everyone, as a future breeder are there any morphs that I should look into? I know it's a vague question but any opinion helps.

I'm going to echo what I said on your other post - buy what YOU like! That's the most important thing. It's not a "make money fast" thing in breeding as the prices of morphs fall every year as they become more readily available.
You could buy 2 mojaves and make BEL's for example, 2 100% het for pied and make pied's etc etc but only go for what appeals to you as that is where the love of the hobby and the passion comes in which is more important that breeding for sales in my opinion :)

Re: The future of morphs
demand changes so fast it's important to keep what you like.
What was the must have morph last year is moved over to make room for the next big thing.
Bottom line is if you breed fo satisfiey the market, you will almost always fail.

its at least 3 similar threads posted by the same person at the same time.
cant we just agree to respond to one of them, and let the other ones die?

Go here and look at all the morphs and combo's.

Decide which ones in your price range appeal to you the most and then try to get the best examples of those morphs you can.

Breed the snakes you like, and like how they look. If you are going into this solely to make money, you will likely fail. So how about this, what do YOU like?

Re: The future of morphs
there are so many combos out there and even more that haven't been made yet. my best advice is build up a solid female base of morphs or combos of morph females and get them to breeding size. when you go and buy a male that's a lot more than what you like spending. you at least have the females to support buying him.
you know need to think out your best plan on getting those females. base on how much you have to spend and how much time you want to spend to get where you want to be. planning is the key. below is a few examples on how to get there.
buying them, usually the more you buy from a breeder the better price you will get.
many breeders will do trades even if what you have to trade isn't snake related.
get some normal females breeding size(they're fairly cheap) and get a male morph or a 2 gene morph and start making your own, hold back
some females and do some trading for other ones you don't have.
as already said get a good plan, do research. good luck, don

I like all kinds, I'm not in it solely for money, I dream to be the one or in the same group of people to breed the next "new" morph. I heard clowns are a really good one to get I to cause of all of the combos:) they're cool lookin also.

Thanks man, good advice I have a 1.0 pastel het albino an a 0.1 normal het albino that I'm going to try sometime before summer. I've always liked the look of albinos not as a popularity thing but in my own opinion.

Recessives are more work, but I think in the end you get better looking combos(in my opinion) and they hold their value a little better
