    cage lighting?
Not sure where this post should go so mods please move it if need be..

just wondering what people recommend for lighting...I have been using the lights I've purchased with my AP cages but want something smaller that takes up less room ....I was thinking LEDs and just wondering what wavelengths are best to not disturb BPs and am looking for something humidity resistant.

I just put this stuff in the AP T8 I recently set up.

    http://amzn.com/B00ASHQQKI

It's waterproof, and you can program it to a few custom colors. That way, I can add a few low level lighting for night viewing that shouldn't bother the snake too much.

Eventually, I'm going to build an Arduino board to automate temps and humidity. When I do that, I want to add a program to mimic local sunrise/sunset/moonlight/etc.

With some splitters and extension cables, you could probably get away with using 3 of those kits to cover all 9 cages. I put the strip around all four sides and had 4 feet left over.

what did you use to attach them inside your cages>?

They are a flexible strip with a self adhesive backing, but that adhesive isn't supposed to be great quality, and I imagine this fits under the same category as not using tape in the cage. Instead, I ran a bead on both edges with a hot glue gun.
