    Is it normal for what looks like urates to be on the males back?
    Like the title says is it normal for a white chalky substance to be on the males back after pairing?

    (1st year breeding excuse the newbie question)

    I have one pair that I have to wipe down after each pairing, because they COVER each other in it. It's gross, but normal yes.
