I recently purchased a female adult ball python today, that makes it 1.0.1 for me now :D . Unfortunately, I discovered her to have an RI . When she breathes there are weezing sounds coming from her mouth. I was wondering if I cranked up the heat, and she didn't make the noises anymore, would she still have the RI or could it possibly be cured. Anyone know how much it would cost for a vet check?

I went to the vet today and it cost $60 for the visit and the medication. If I were you I'd go to the vet, especially if you know it's an RI.

RI can be gotten rid of. First of all, have you ever dealt with it before? If not ... you might want to check out this thread here : http://www.ball-pythons.net/index.ph...&p=45947#45947 . I would definitely make a vet appt as soon as possible. Depending on the vet it could range anywhere from 40 to 80 bucks for a visit and checkup. Its a good idea anyway when you first get your new additions.

And as others have been pointing out recently, it could be loose scales at the start of a shed causing the sound. By the way, 1.0.1 means one male, zero females, one unknown sex so maybe you meant 1.1 or 0.1.1?
