Very Cold Apartment With Rack Please Help!
Im nervous guys, i have my rack set up with the therm set at 92 degrees so i know the hot side is okay but i am very worried about the ambient temps. I live in an old college apartment and it is like mid 50s in here! I have a space heater but the house is so old it blows the fuse when i turn it on! Any suggestions?

If I were you I'd throw some heat tape on the back wall as well as the sides of the rack towards the rear and put it on a thermostat at 90. Next is cover the sides, back and top of the rack with foam insulation. It's cheap. You can get a 4' X 8' sheet that's 3/4" thick for about $9 at home Depot. It's white with foil on one side. May not be the best looking way but it's low wattage and should give you pretty consistent ambient temps. Just an idea. ....

I have my winter jacket over the open end right now, i cant really put for heat tape in it cause its an animal plastics rack and the slots are already full. I might just move them upstairs in my apartment because its warm up there and i was just hoping i didnt have to do that

Insulate the rack if you can't use a space heater. Moving the rack to a warmer area will help too.

That's the best solution for the snakes but you should know the ambient temperature at all times to make sure you can make changes if needed
