    Size of warm spot
    Hi all,
I had a heating matt left that I thought I would use for another tank. But it covers about 2/3 of the length of the enclosure. Do you think that's fine or should I opt for a smaller matt?
    Best wishes, Michi

Rule of thumb is 1/3 or less. Get a smaller mat or larger tank. :)

Agreed, you need way smaller, 1/4 to a 1/3 is needed so they can come off the hot spot if they become to warm

Thank you both! I opted for a pad that covers just over 1/4 of the enclosure.
    Best wishes, Michi
