    Little brat
So the whole reason I started breeding rats is because my clown girl refuses F/T. So now that rat babies are here (15 pinks and I think 6 fuzzies left) she has decided she doesn't need food the last three weeks. She will get in striking position and pretty much give the rats or mice (tried continuing to give her live mice and didn't work) "kisses". She just touches her nose to them. When they move she looks interested but never does anything. I left a fuzzy in there for 15 minutes and nothing. My most expensive girl and she won't eat. Good thing I have four other hungry ball pythons to keep the rat numbers in check and the babies are the right size for the boa.

My guy is doing the same thing. Kissing the rats. Lol

How big is your clown girl? Rat pinks and fuzzies don't move around much, so that could be why she starts to think she might be interested, but never gets excited enough for the feeding response to kick in. That is part of why many breeders start hatchlings on mouse hoppers - more movement.

Yeah that's my thought as well. But she does the same thing when we offer live adult mice. She was eating those well for a while and now just doesn't want to eat.

I have nothing but sympathy to offer, hopefully she sorts herself out. Babies really are jerks sometimes .

I have one snake on f/t who is kind of funny at feeding time. She'll act very hungry, then either not take or will strike, miss, then hide in her box hissing. I finally figured out she's a shy girl who likes privacy when she eats. so now I just drop the f/t food item in by the entrance to her hide, and walk away. When I come back later to check, it's gone and she's happy. They are just weird sometimes.
