Anyone have any experience or know about Kubsch Pastel Boas??
Interested in finding out more about their origin, size, temperment, etc. Any feedback would be appreciated.

As far as origin, I can't really help you there. There's not too much info out there to be found on this particular line. I do know it's an older line of pastel so perhaps someone who's been in the game even longer than me would have some insight there.

But as far as temperament and size, they would be like any other Colombian BCI. The pastel trait is a polygenic trait most often associated with the common Colombian BCI. There are several "lines" of pastel: Kubsch, Cherry, Pastel Dream, Summit, and Ferrari are just a few. But this isn't a different type of boa - it is still a BCI. A pastel has a very clean pattern with reduced black. They usually have a bright wash of pink coloration as well - to varying degrees depending on the line.

Here are a few of my pastels to give you an idea....

ALL of these snakes are Colombian BCI. They will vary a little in size, depending on adult growth and whether male or female, but they will all average 6-8 feet as adults and should all have very nice temperaments as adults - these are all very sweet kiddos. :gj:

Thank you!! Great collection :) appreciate all the info. I did hear that the Kubsch Line was smaller but I guess some of that is feeding regimen as well. I have a male which I believe stay smaller. Thanks again for your help :)

The thing about "common" boas is that they usually end up being a mish-mash of various localities and so can exhibit the largest degree of variations within the sub-species. The Kubsch line of pastel may be linked to a smaller sub-species, such as Central Americans. This would create a tendency for the Kubsch line to stay smaller in general. :gj:
