    question about weight
Hey so I know I haven't posted in awhile but I had a question about weight.

My boy just turned 11 months old and weighs 326 grams. He eats every 5 days a weaned rat and sheds on schedule once a month.

Is that a good weight? I don't really want to switch to a bigger rat right now because I still have like 15 out of 30 I got from Layne labs.

At 6 months months my normal female is a little over 500 and eats mice. If you don't wanna move up, I'd feed two weanlings

Aren't females a little bigger than males though?

At one point I had some mice that were a tad small for my ball so I added a rat pup each feeding to make the meals the proper size. I second feeding multiples or do like I did and feed them with a mouse.

How much should he weigh. I've tried feeding twice in a week and he doesn't eat it. :(

Most by 11-12 months are 800 give or take a little. Have you tried feeding Two at the same feeding?

There is no reason to try to force him to grow faster by increasing his feedings. At his weight, a weanling is still appropriate. Just keep up with your current schedule, and move up to smalls when you use up the weanlings. There is no set weight that a BP needs to be at a certain age.

He could just be a slow grower. If he has a good body condition, I wouldn't worry too much about his growth.
