    What causes belly rot?

I believe it's bacterial in origin, but it's associated with too high of humidity/damp substrate.

Marla that kink in the tail is just sking and bone :( She still has a lot of weight to put on, and I'm hoping things will turn around for her in the next two to three months.

This one was rescued by the guy who runs the snake museum in town. He was not doing too well and I agreed to take her off his hands cause she needs a lot of TLC. The second one was at a pet store. Such a beauty and someone gave her up, sheez!

P.S I managed to make her finally eat fresh killed rats:D

Congrats on your rescue, and it's good to hear that she's eating for ya. I can't believe that there are.. morons (a gross understatement) out there who let these snakes get like that.
