Wobbles, sterility, bug eyes, etc. What are the quirks you can share with a beginner?

While I'm still new to the ball python world, I have come across few things:

Lesser x lesser can have eye problems
Desert females have problems reproducing
Spiders have a wobble


What are some other things that you could add to a list that are things that were discovered along the way and that may save a future mistake?

These are things that I learned by stumbling upon this information while reading, and if not, I would definitely be interested to go with a tiger project. EEK! They just look so stunning.

I guess the purpose of this thread is to enlighten the newer hobbyists, like myself, who are trying to find out as much as possible, and want to do responsible breeding in the future :) ... And have it easier because we didn't pioneer (but will contribute through our own experiences! :D).

Super cinnamon's often have horrible birth defects from what I've heard.
They seem to get what's called "duck bills" and very bad spinal kinks.

Super black pastels can have that same thing.

Super sables, woma, hidden gene woma, champagne and powerball(if I'm not mistaken) can have head wobble.

super champagne & champagne x spider is reportedly lethal(I personally haven't tested)

spider x spider = no idea, but have you ever seen one?

and the last that sucks that I know of is spider x sable = difficult to hatch, if they make it it's a very severe wobble. Something about adding sable to anything with wobble already increases the wobble.

Kinking caramels. Ralph Davis did a video on this, and plenty of caramel producers have reported kinked tail tips and/or spinal deformities. It's been reported that they also tend to slug out or produce a lot of slugs.

There haven't been enough super champagnes produced, but it seems widely accepted that the super form is lethal. I believe there's a picture on wobp.

I wonder how the scaleless will do.. Someone produced a scaleless ball before BHB, but it mysteriously died after several months. Can't wait to see if the one produced by BHB will thrive and reproduce :gj:.

The blackbelly ball has a smaller than normal head.

Thats all I can think off the top of my head :D... I'e been up too late :P..
