Should I let my snake crawl around outside?
I have a Ball Python that I have had for about 6 - 7 months he is about 2 1/2 feet long. I have searched this before and i got both answers yes and no and good reasons for both. So can I let my Ball Python crawl around outside. If so are there times i shouldn't le him outside such as when he is shedding or just after shedding and anything like that?

I wouldn't. You let them crawl around and say they find a hole in the ground that you missed. BAM, there goes your snake. Then not to mention bugs/mites and who knows whatever else. If anything I do put them on the driveway sometimes to take pictures.

I'm all for letting my snake do some outdoor exploring under close supervision. You never know when they might pull a disappearing act, voluntarily or involuntarily. Birds of prey may find them delicious food, and they just might find a way to get away from you.

thank you, i have heard not to because of bugs but i never thought about holes in the ground. but i do hold him outside sometimes (not in the winter ofcourse) because i have heard that natural sunlight is good for snakes.

I have a pear tree in the front yard that my Brazilian Rainbow boa likes to climb when the weather is nice.

I let my snakes crawl around outside, but my hand is never less than 6-12 inches away from their body in case I need to grab them.
The only snake I don't let crawl around outside is Jester, but that's because he's a wild caught gopher snake who's fast as lightning and I probably wouldn't be able to catch him if he tried to get away ._.
