Bp head out side of hide?
I got a bp about 4 weeks ago and he likes to set with his head sticking out of the hide. Is this normal? He can fit inside just fine I have 3 different hides one on the cold side one in the middle that I keep the humidity around (75%) and one on the hot side all 3 he sticks his head out day or night.

Good to know.

Its just the one hide at 75% the rest of the area is at 48%

I have six out of seven peeking at me right now! Totally normal. He is comfortable enough to peer outside and see what is going on so you must be doing things right. As stated in previous post you can ease up on the humidity a little, but it will not hurt him.
Congrats on the new addition!

My girl Eva likes to rest her head out of one of her hides on this decorative rock I have in there. It always looks like she's thinking :) it's really cute.

Thanks for the reassurance
Got my first snake, a young BP on Friday and woke up this morning (Tuesday) to see it's little head sticking out of the warm hide and was immediately concerned. Quick search led to this thread to learn this is normal behaviour.
This forum is a terrific resource, thanks!
