I love them! I'm glad I chose it as my first snake. Tons of personality packed into a small snake.
They often go off feeding during the winter months, but don't be alarmed about it. My boy prefers small mice but they have to be soaking wet or he won't eat them. I haven't ever been able to get him to eat a dry f/t mouse. lol

I just recently got my two for my other half, but I fell in love with them... such personality... the male has only eaten twice in the 4 months we've had him with is scarey because he's a hatchling but his weight is steady and he has a water bowl. Our newest the female is so calm and eats a pinky every 5 days. They are like night and day. He's pissy, she's a sweetheart! :)

I was thinking of getting a female because I have all male reptiles lol. Should I feed it once a week or every 5 days?

What feeding schedule do you use? 5 days or 7 days?

You can probably get away with either with no problems. It's up to personal opinion, and I suppose how willing the snake is. I don't have one personally, but I have heard that most colubrids have a faster metabolism than the boas and pythons, so every 5 would easily keep you in the green.
