    Ovy while beeing locked :O
    The only reasonable explanation is that they are not locked and they are just laying like that, or BP's can lock during ovy's!

    They don't looked locked up to me from that picture, def looks like a ovulation though.

    They look locked to me! There is no reason why they CAN NOT lock during anytime; mating CAN occur at anytime BUT usually does not due to behavioral patterns associated with hormone release from the female. Same way warm furry wiggly objects prompt a strike. With snakes it is all reaction to an action, they do not think like we do. Their brains are VERY simple and only have 2 components. There is no frontal lobe. Perhaps this girl is just special:P

    That is absolutely a lock, have to be pretty blind to see that. And it's not at all uncommon to see them locked during an OV and even post OV

    Is it worth pairing post-OV? My biggest girl has a massive case of "tail suck" today. She's locked four times with the male since the first week of November.

    I think when they ovy then you don't have to pair them any more :). I think most of the time they won't lock after ovy :).
