So...what is he?
Snagged this little dude from a really nice WV pet store.
[they had a Coatimundi and Kinkajou as store 'mascots', of all crazy things, along with a wonderful selection of various herps, small mammals, fish and birds]
The guy told me the name of his breeder in PA whose name I recognized but couldn't recall anything other than "he's het for something".
[argh!]
I've forgotten the breeder's name.
[probably think of it at 4 am or something]
At first I thought he was a Hog Island, buried halfway in the aspen.
He's odd looking with that pale color, all those little freckles and weird, ghostly, smudgy 'leopard spot' looking thingies.
Thoughts?

No matter what, I'm in love.
I saw him and thought "Wow! How freaky! Gotta have!" LOL
His name is "Ibn" after The 13th Warrior as he is my 13th constrictor.
;)
[and yes, he's been pre-emptively de-bugged and QTed and he does have a healed scar which appears to be a burn or bite..can't tell which]

Re: So...what is he?
Nice pickup! Can't help on what he is, other than common BCI. He is cute though.
Which store?

What was the name of the store? I was at a very exotic pet store in WV years ago, called Animal Jungle. They had a serval cat that was really cool.
sent from my incubator

A Hog Island cross, perhaps?

It's called "Dog Gone".
Used to be out on RT 9 but has moved to a road off of RT 11.
Found it again by accident.
I thought they'd gone out of business but they just moved, instead.

Beats me.
That would be cool, though.
I was wanting a Hog Island anyway.

"Dog Gone" in Martinsburg.

I'd go back to the store and ask for the breeder's name again if you can't remember it. And maybe they'll remember what he's het for too.
He's very nice. Looks to be a hypo, but I doubt he's Hog Island. Doesn't really have "the look." But it is possible.... ;)

Are you local to them? I get feeder guppies for my garters from David - except he ran out so now they're eating tilapia. My husband helped them move.

I called the store and the guy's gonna find out who the breeder is and get as much info as he can.
He said it was something like "Boa Masters" in PA but I don't think it's *the* BoaMaster.
I'll know next week.

I can stand on top the mountain and see Martinsburg but it takes me a 1/2 hour to drive there since McCoy's Ferry hasn't run since the late 1800's.
We hang around that area all summer on the Harleys.
Rt 9 and RT 11 are nice rides.
They sure down-sized.
The other store was huge and stuffed so that you could barely move.
:D
I was thrilled to find them and it was through a series of wildly synchronistic events that I even did.
I have *never* gone back that road but hubby suddenly said "Turn left!" and then I saw the store.
Slammed on the brakes and backed into the parking lot.
Brought home the boy.
It was meant to be.
Oddly enough, I'd just come back from Winchester after looking at a tragic Boa from CL.
It was a super-dark boy, not a girl like the kid thought, dehydrated and full of lumps which I suppose were rat bite scars. [or worse]
Had he not insisted on $200 for the poor thing, I would have brought it home.
I still feel terrible about leaving it there, especially since it kept straining to escape the kid and get back on my shoulders as I walked away.
Poor thing.
I'd still go get it if he'd sell him for what he's really worth...about $50, tops.
I wish I could afford to pay 'top dollar' for sad, needy snakes but unfortunately I can not.
:(
