Branching out

I'm trying to figure out what other reptiles can be kept with the same husbandry as my ball pythons. Who has had success with this?

Carpet pythons have very similar requirements to ball pythons. The only major difference is the size the carpet can get, but for the most part are very similar. I have a rack with carpets and balls in them.

i guess it helps if you are a bit more specific.

does everything need to be the same, the complete husbandry?

or is it fine when you need enclosures that are somewhat different, but you can keep them in the same room at roughly similar temperatures, maybe with different thermostat settings for hotspots, and they eat the same food?

if you are looking for any rhodent-eating reptiles that have a temperature range similar enough to be kept in the same room without problems, i think you have a lot of choices.

I am thinking other rodent eating reptiles would be best as I do breed my own rats. Which ones did you have in mind.

BCIs and many other boas are rodent-eating, and they require mostly the same temperatures (just a bit cooler) and humidity as ball pythons.
