    Feeding
I have a couple pythons that I have been feeding a rat crawler and fuzzie every week. they are growing like weeds and eat very well. The question I have is am I feeding them too much? Can they over eat? The second part is How can I get my other one off mouse hoppers and onto rat pups? I tried the paper bag deal...it didnt work. He didnt eat last week cause im assuming he was shedding(although my others eat reguadless) so any other tips? Maybe waiting another week or two to make sure he is good and hungry? Thanks for all the help and info.

It depends on their weight but feeding them every week is not overfeeding. Are you feeding live? What i noticed in the past with my snakes is that they were attracted to movement. Sometimes a mouse of the same size might move more than a rat pup.

Try getting old mouse bedding and put the rat pup in it a little while before feeding time...

I go them in july didnt weight them but weighed now and they are 249 grams and the other is 283 grams. I didnt have a scale when i got them in july and they were recently hatched when I got them. I figure about a month old if that in july so i am guessing about 6-7 months old now.

From their weights and probable ages it definitely doesn't sound like you're overfeeding them. Some of mine are about the same age and they've been fed every 4 or 5 days for the most part.

To get the one off mouse hoppers and onto rats you can try getting both a very small mouse hopper and a very small rat pup. Feed the mouse first, then while the snake is still in feeding mode, drop the rat pup in. May work, may not.
