More than ten years ago, I started researching pet snakes for my daughter and ran across a picture of a pied ball python in a book. Instant love!
Of course, ten years ago, the cost of one was astronomical, and having one as a pet for a ten year old girl was out of the question. My daughter is a 20 year old college student now, and my love for pied balls has not diminished by a single black freckled scale. But life circumstances, and the continued relatively high price of the morph has kept them out of my reach all this time.
Until now.
She arrived today, from my dear friend Raul Campos of West Coast Jungle, and I am thrilled beyond measure!
I only took a couple of snap shots before letting her alone in her new home, but here she is. I think I'll call her Kaylee, and bonus points to anyone who knows where that comes from. :P
Here she is still curled up in the deli cup she arrived in, looking a little like, "What the heck is happening??"

But as soon as I took her out of the cup, she came out swingin'!

Thank you, Raul, for allowing such a treasure to come stay with me! And thank you for all your help with FedEx and the excellent packaging that kept her safe and sound and feisty!
