    84cm BP in 40cm enclosure!!!
Hi, just obtained a a bp, living in an enclosure waaay to small for him, he is about a year and a half (maybe a bit less) and I was wondering a good size, what is to big….. also if anyone has any good places to buy cheap enclousures than that would be great (uk prefrably but shipping available). I need to get him out of this one ASAP so bigger tub for now but I prefer the look of an enclosure before I get a rack (only if I get to twenty snakes which is unlikely:D) and dont just want a plastic tub or any plastic terranium or faunarium, a proper vivarium.
Edit: Black if possible and suggesting sites but wooden is okay

The largest footprint I can think of for a glass viv is the 36x18 ExoTerra. That's inches btw. You could probably get something bigger custom made.

I don't know how you feel about melamine or wood panel enclosures, but you can find those in pretty large sizes.

Not a bad choice. I don't know a lot about them, besides the fact that they're not cheap, and they're heavy as hell. I'm curious about how to provide belly heat in them.

Im no help for a source near you.

I believe that a snake can be kept in any size cage desired as long as its done correctly. My bp has spent its entire life in a 40gal tank(36in x 19in x 18in) and has thrived. I prefer naturalistic keeping and she has always had plants(fake and live), driftwood, and hides. This offers the feeling of security needed to keep your snake happy when the cage would otherwise have large open areas.

As for ordering a cage you can pretty much order whatever you want. I keep bloods and a brb in pvc cages that are 4ft x 2ft x 15in. They are good for holding humidity and easy to clean. I don't think a ball would ever need something like that though. For bigger snakes you can even get two piece cages that bolt together to be 7 to 8ft long. The sky and your wallet is your only limits when it comes to cages. My blood is nearing 6ft and she actually makes her cage look small. She only has a litter box hat(was a hide at one point) on one side a bowl of water in the middle and crumpled newspaper to hide in on the other.

All that said I don't think you would need anything bigger than a 40gal footprint for a bp,

I wish I could help, but I didn't keep snakes when I lived in England (East Anglia is not exactly reptile Mecca). I PM'd Naom9Anne though, she's in England as well so hopefully she knows where to shop.

Assuming the exchange rate is still $1.63 to a GBP, that's a pretty great deal.
