Possible Lighting Issue?

I wasn't sure where to put this, since it's not really a herp question, or a caging question, so mods please feel free to move it somewhere more appropriate if I've misjudged.

I have a little zoomed 12x12x18 which is basically set up like a dart frog tank (leca, false bottom etc) but is just a water feature and a few salaginella species. I live in the desert and I just want something nice and green to look at sometimes, not really intending to put any animals in there. I am new to live vivariums and I'm afraid I might be slowly killing my plants. Lighting is 12,000k LED (ecoxotic) which I now realize is more of an aquarium plant K. Do I need to get a new LED strip with a lower K or will they be ok with that temp? Thanks!

Just based on general lighting knowledge, I would recommend a more yellowish lower temperature light. Something around 2000K-4000K. It would mimic sunlight a bit better than white and almost bluish colored lighting.

Just in case anyone has a similar inquiry in the future, 12,000k will kill all the plants. :rolleyes:

I got the 6,500k led, and a whole new set of plants, and they're doing great now. Also in case anyone ever gets the bright idea that just because part of the wall is dry that it's a great idea to silicon desert adapted bromeliads to it even though the humidity is basically 99%, don't do it. The wall will look really odd when they all die. ;)
