    Rack questions
Hello I was just wondering what rack would be good for medium sized ball pythons. I'm a little new to the rack systems

There are many manufacturers of rack systems. What are you looking for? How many tubs, material (metal or plastic), type of heating? ARS and freedom breeder are the top end professional racks. There are many companies that make high quality PVC racks, google PVC racks and a lot will come up. There is always an option of making your own rack, they can be pretty easy to make with the right tools. There are a few threads about making your own rack.

Check out Reptile Basics, Animal Plastics, or C-serpents.
Medium size, I assume would be in the 500g range. A 28qt tub will work well for those.

28qt tubs should be fine for most BPs, unless you have a large female which require 41qt tubs. There is a debate on when or if to move them into 41qt tubs, but you'll be just fine with a 28qt rack system.

So far I've built one out of melamine, and one out of plywood, but if I were to build another one it will be out of expanded PVC (XPVC).
Here is a thread on how to build one out of XPVC.

XPVC will be lighter than melamine, and both will be more durable over time and easier to clean than plywood.

I haven't looked too much into pre-made racks, but the ones mentioned above should all be high quality.

Most of my males (which tend to be smaller) are kept in racks that hold tubs that are approximately 16" X 24" while my larger females are generally kept in racks that hold tubs that are around 16" X 34" (tub sizes are approximate within an inch or two)

Thanks for the replies. I was lookin for one that's from Vision but I kinda wanted one for adults. An it doesn't really matter how many spots it has. An I also wondered if I could just split the adult tubs in half for medium sized snakes?

I went with C-Serpents and could not be happier with their products

I build my own but a 28qt is a great all around size.
My larger females that are breeding are kept in 41qt tubs mainly to have two adults in them.
