Meet Donut!
So today we went from 7 to 9! Lol. I've really taken this hobby and ran with it.
Our breeder had been hoping to hatch some pieds for a while so when she got her 6 egg clutch, I was stoked for her. I really like the idea of getting hets of some of your fave morphs and breeding them out, so while I love pieds, my fingers were crossed that she would hatch a 1.1 pair of hets so I could breed my own.
Luck was on my side. The only 2 hets that came from that clutch were my 1.1 pair!!
Donut is 85g right now. Little skittish, but obviously to be expected. His sister, Espresso on the other hand struck at me 3 times, so I'll let her settle and get a meal in before taking her pic. If you see one, you've seen em all lol. But I love them!!

Trust me, it's not easy haha. I also like raising them up from babies rather than buying a breeder size. I think it makes me more excited and appreciative of the process. We have 2 100% het albinos that will be ready next year. I can't wait. Been a long time coming lol

I applaud that.
I'm raising mine from babies as well. I'm going to breed just for fun so it's important for me to watch them grow. Like you said, it's a lot more rewarding when you raise them yourself.
My het. Pied girl is about 120g and my Pied boy should be about the same weight (can't weigh him yet. Long story...). It's probably going to take me at least two years to fatten up the girl.
Coincidentally, my normal might be het. Albino, so I'm going to pair her up with my Albino boy next year as well.

Very cute! They are so adorable when small.

Yeah, Espresso is 150g. Donut was just really hard to get started so hes quite a bit smaller at 85g.
I'm seriously so stoked for next season. I dunno how I'll function properly haha.

I don't blame you for being excited. It's going to be my first time trying to breed next season so I know exactly where you're coming from.

My latest addition, a russo, was 62g when she arrived. She had some difficulty getting started, too. Now she eats like a littie piggy!
