    Winter is coming...
So it's starting to get colder here in SoCal. My snakes ambient temps are getting low and until now I've gotten along with just a uth but I'm worried about the ambient temp. So my real question is, how do you raise ambient temps in a plastic enclosure?

Some put UTH's on the cool's side with a different thermostat set to a lower temp, hoping that the extra UTH will raise the ambient temp enough. Most people, myself included heat the room with oil heaters or similar.

If you keep the room temp up it should keep the enclosure temp up. Are you using plastic tubs?

Currently it is dropping down to the low 40's at night, inside closer to 65 degrees, we have yet to turn on our heater, I have two T8's, RHP's in both, ambient temp has been steady between 80-83 degrees.

I use a CHE when it really drops down. You just have to be careful because they obliterate your humidity.

I always have problems this time of year, the furnace is working full time so the herp room is TOO warm and the air is dry. It takes a while to get everything fine tuned again.
