    input please!
so I am thinking about re-doing my bp tank, like completely starting over just to make sure I have all the perfect equipment to keep my ball happy and healthy.

I would like as much input as possible!! what are your must haves, and anything I should stay away from? I want specifics too, I know the basics, but what types of things do you guys use? from heating to hides please just give your input! :)

thanks in advance, I'm sure I could use all the help I could get!

I have a UTH set with a thermostat at 88-90 degrees. A double dome heat lamp, one with a day time bulb and one with a bulb for night. I also have a thermometer to monitor the UTH to make sure the thermostat works properly. I have one very large water bowl and 1 hide n the warm side. An analog hygrometter ,placed accordingly where it should be. 1 thermometer strip on the hot side of the tank as well. I also have a can of PAM and eeptile spray on hand incase a mite issue pops up as wel as an infrared thermo gun...Some fake plants suction cupped through out the tank as well as 2 long thick fake vines,he loves climbing through the fake plants and on the vines

Well before anyone can give you specific advice, what are you hoping to accomplish in your new setup?

Are you trying to buy more snakes and breed them or are you trying to go for a more aesthetic terrarium that's easier to take care of?

The reason I'm bringing this up, is that different people use different setups for certain goals.

I have my terrarium set up, using aspen snake bedding, I freeze it to hopefully kill mites if possible. I have a UTH with a herpstat setting it to 93 and for my cool side I have a light dimmer and red bulb set to the lowest light which will make the cool side temp reach 83. I'am also using a accurite humidity gauge and temp from Wal mart where I place in the middle of the tank. I have heavy duty foil (2 layers) covering the screen top which is a lot better than a towel. 2 hides one on hot and one cool side, a log for climbing near the red bulb and a plastic plant which she loves and I also have a temp gun to feel more safe

I guess my goal is to make it the best looking, I have a glass tank and he's in my room so I'd like it to look nice, but his health and well being are more important than that. I just wanted to see what other people use and like!

Another thing that is good for a hide is using a frozen dinner plate like hungry man etc...since my snakes are still small they fit perfectly snugged in them. and their cheap.
