I'm looking to get a water monitor but I need to know about how big will they get in one year? And about how old will it be when full grown?

If you have to ask this question, hold off on purchasing the animal. You need to do a ton more research before making this purchase. At one year it will be over 3ft long and I believe they reach 6-8ft. Here is a quick google for a caresheet from Vital Exotics. http://www.vitalexotics.com/water-mo...on-care-sheet/ I would really recommend a smaller species such as Red or yellow ackies as a starter monitor. This isnt to say that you cant care for a larger animal properly, i just urge you to do several months of research before buying one, afterall this is a committment for at least the next 10 years. A monitor that is 6ft would require at least a 6ft by 6ft by 12ft cage and it would be better to house it in a 8ft by 8ft by 12ft cage.
