I've had it since I got my snake a 1.5 months ago but have never used thinking it would b too messy cleaning up...I thought about putting some in when I got home to help with his shed before I try the pillowcase thing...

I use sphagnum moss, haven't come across that but I would think it would be okay. I will let others chime in here.

I prefer sphagnum moss however that works find, it stays tangled up pretty well get it in kind of a clump, wet it and place it in his hide, its not harder to clean with that in your tank.

I have terrerium moss in mine and I just soak it till its wet wring it out then towel dry it. If mine get nasties in it I tear out that clump and keep going. It works really well for keep the humidity up imo.

I also have a box that I've been debating using. Lol! I really think I need to though because humidity is a constant battle for me because I have to use a heat lamp on the cool side. :/

I also agree with sphagnum moss, it's cost effective for having several enclosures to keep. Also, and I'm not sure if it works with what you have, but I reuse the sphagnum. I soak it in hot hot water and rinse several times, then allow to dry. It is great for humidity and my babies love playing in it! Also great for sheds, soak some and put in their hides :)
