    First time breeding
Hello all, my name is Becky and I'm new this forum though I've trolled around a bit over the last few years when I got my first couple of ball pythons for information. I've had reptiles for 12 years now, snakes in particular for the last 3.5 years after moving out of my parents house. Well that's enough of that and time to post what I really wanted to share!

I was going through my snakes yesterday and decided to weigh two females (one ball python het pied and one brazillian rainbow boa) I'm planning to try breeding this year. The Ball weighed in at just over 1700 grams. She's put on the last 400 grams since about mid summer when I bought a proven male het pied. Decided to go ahead and pair them yesterday. He was all over her last night, pretty sure they locked but I had a fussy toddler to chase around so I left them to it. Checked this morning and they were DEFIANTLY locked. Super excited and keeping fingers crossed for a pied to two this season. :)

Oh, and one more amazing thing. The female ball was only feeding on asf when I first got her almost 2 years ago now. In this last year she's FINALLY started taking rats and for the last few months has been pounding down the rats. Now if my other two females on asfs will only swap over that would be perfect! lol
