Issues w my female Pied. Red tint on scales.
I noticed today after my baby piebald shed she had a red tint to her scales in certain areas. Has anyone seen this before, and if so is it normal or a reason for concern?!?!http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/11/29/a5ybasyd.jpg

What is the set-up. I've seen belly scales pick up colour from substrate. Although, that is an odd spot on the body for that to show up.

It isn't an issue, I have 1.1 baby pieds who get red before they shed and for a couple days later. I am sure all snakes get some irritation it just shows up better on the white on a piebald.
even my 1600 gram pied female gets irritated scales sometimes when she is messing around going in and out of her hide.
I have seen it multiple times in all 3 of my pieds, no reason for concern. if you notice it in 2 or 3 days then id start to raise concern with your substrate and what not.
as of what im seing in your photo I personally would not be concerned.

Ok cool! I was a little concerned. She's in orchid bark. Pretty normal bedding. That's for the help.

Orchid bedding, I actually have never heard of that used before. What are the pros and cons?
