do pinstripes wobble?

Do Pinstripes inherit the genetic wobble defect? I never thought they did, but my local pet store has a bunch of pins, and then one that i swear is a spinner..really stands out from the rest and i wish i had a pic...the dude is about 1700 grams give/take if I'm guessing and going for 225 like the rest of the pins.

The reptile guy said he's just really reduced and has great color and he'd sell him for more if he didn't have such a bad wobble. I didn't think pins had the wobble issue like spiders? the guy said that pins do wobble just like spiders...

Someone enlighten me on something I thought I've known for like 4 years now lol

Nope. Pins do not have a genetic wobble. If those pins at the store have a wobble, it's due to a temp heat spike or incubation error.
And if the reduced pin is actually a spinner, then it has a wobble due to the spider gene.

And whoa! $225 for a pin!? Expensive......

no wobble wth pinstripes.

spinners wobble because they contain pinstripe and spider, and any combination containing spider has a wobble. but that has nothing to do with the pinstripe gene.

Is the pinstripe that looks like a spinner a product out of a pinstripe x spider? Maybe he ended up with more than a reduced pattern and also got the wobble gen?

There is no stand alone 'wobble gene'.
The wobble is attached to the spider gene. It *is* the spider gene.

I almost feel dumb for asking but I needed reassurance. The pin was not hatched by the store, they said they bought I as a pin. Highly doubt it was incubation issue simply due to plot an pattern. Ill try Tito go down there Friday and get a pic. Spinner isn't in my plans but a nice deal might be. Ill have to start pricing them out n see if I can make I worth it.

I would think 225 might be high for a hatchling pin/spinner, but for a 1700 gram adult, that doesn't seem bad at all if he's healthy.

Pinstripes don't wobble. Spiders do wobble, and combinations of spiders- because they carry the spider gene- will wobble. A spinner is a combination of the pinstripe and spider, and is a double morph combo, and because it contains the spider gene, it will wobble. But wobbles don't effect their lives in captivity all too much, nor are they constantly happening. (A BP with a wobble may only wobble when excited such as biting in defense, feeding, combat, breeding etc.) Sometimes, despite being a spider morph, the snakes may have a reduced wobble, rarely do it, or exhibit no wobble at all. Snakes that suffer physical brain damage from overheating may also experience wobbling, but that's another subject all together.

IMO, that price for a 1700g spinner, if it's healthy, seems like a great bargain.
