Wanting to build a wood enclosure
I am planning to build my first multi-level enclosure out of plywood for my ball pythons. I want to use either Birch or Red Oak plywood. Is it safe to use once sealed? I know that a couple types of wood are dangerous due to the oils, such as Pine. I just want to avoid injuring my snakes.

    Thanks

Absolutely safe. Check out my thread in the diy section. I built an 8-enclosure setup for my snakes out of oak plywood, and it perfectly safe, looks awesome, and works beautifully. Temps and humidity are spot on...all day, everday. ;)

That is some amazing work! I have some woodworking skills, but you my friend are an artist!

I am sure mine will end up being a Corolla compared to your Lexus! Haha

    Thanks for the insight!

Pine and cedar are no good...

u can also use melamine to make an enclosure..I'm looking to make one and hopefully soon,as soon as the holidays end and OT picks up. I'll be using plexi glass and melamine to make mine. HAve it all planned out,it's going to be sick.
