What do you think of this?
this makes me so angry. First of all a 2 foot python would not try to bite the foot off, and they are not "slimy" snakes. I feel sorry for the poor snake, he must have been so cold and hungry, no wonder he ended up in a cot with blankets. Obviosly the kid was a bit shocked though. I blame the owner that lost the snake.

well the family must have not fed the ball python. That's the only reason I can think of a ball python doing something like this. story like this make me angry because they put such a bad image on these somewhat harm-less pets.

I feel bad for the child, and I'm sure it was scary for the boy and the parents since they didn't own the snake themselves. It's just one more negative blow to the trade due to irresponsible keepers.

I didn't watch the video I just read the article blurb, from the article it didn't seem like they over reacted, unless it left out some information. If my infant was coiled I would probably take him to the dr to check him out even though no harm was done. However if these people don't own snakes, don't know anything about them and the only encounter they had was walking in and seeing one wrapped around their kids foot I'm sure it would freak them out.

The comments for that article were particularly annoying though.

Ya i dont read the comments anymore either, 99% of them are ignorant and not based on any facts and I don't feel like getting annoyed.
