    Thanks and Thanks in post difference?
    Why can you have a certain number of thanks and then a totally different number of thanks is posts at the bottom. How to you get one and the other. Which is more importent and contributes to reputation points

    Thanks are how many you give.
    Other people will thank you for a certain post and that's when you have been "thanked"

    This site has a few systems in place.

    The thanks button = 1 rep point

    The rep + or - button adds or substrates rep points according to the users rep level (the green bars)


    When you thank someone else your "thanks" counter goes up. When someone else thanks you your "thanked" counter goes up
