what is a bcc? some kind of boa? any pics of it? i want to get a hefty sized snake some day, but not something as big as a burm. i thought about rock pythons, but those get 11 ft, and would need a second person. what are the pythons that look like giant slugs? they aare really stout.

i think afrocks get bigger. i heard female BCCs can average 10-12ft.

Moved to the boa forum since the topic is "bcc?".

Kontron - Check out this thread here: http://www.ball-pythons.net/index.ph...ewtopic&t=1896 that explains some differences between BCI's and BCC's.

Look at the top thread under the Blood Pythons section right now and you'll see several others of Kara's gorgeous bloods.

Likely mean African Rocks (though Indian Pythons are sometimes known as Indian Rocks) - and yes that size you mentioned is about half what they can acheive - def in the Giant category and often can push 20'+.

I feel for the rodents that get constricted by a blood python......those snakes are DIESEL.

Oh yeah, Kontron........if you want a big snake but something that you won't have to worry about eating small children or your neighbor's dog fluffy, go for a male BCI. Those are the Boa Constrictor Imperators. They will get to be about 6-8 feet long, a large snake that will have some of the holy crap factor, but also something you can also handle on your own and won't require a room-size enclosures. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think a full grown bci can be kept in a 75 gallon enclosure.

BCI's are also know to be kitten tame as adults with regular handling and TLC.
