    Had a necro done
So I took my snake that passed away to the vet for him to do a Necro. Some back story. I bought this female and have had her for about 4 months. When I recieved her she had a bad weeze. I then put her into a tub that had a hot spot of 90 and ambient of 80 with a humididty of 60-70 %. The weeze then stopped after a week. I then started to lower temps for breeding. This then cause the weeze to come back. With in 2 weeks she passed.

Now for the part that upset me. The vet stated that by the look of her lungs she would have had this infection before I recieved her. The lungs where solid and black. He is also somebody that has been to my home and checked my husbandry. He stated that she came to me in this condition and there wasnt anything I could do but help ease the problem. There where also old follicles inside her that did not reabsorb.

I'll just say it was somebody off bp.net. I don't know if they knew so saying who it was is really not needed.

I'm so sorry. Unfortunately it looks like some of the really nasty diseases can lay dormant for quite a long time. At the very least I would let the seller know what happened so he can lock down his collection. Also, did the vet try to determine exactly what the illness was, or at least if it was bacterial versus viral? You said that she had been to the vet and was getting treated before she died; what was the recommended treatment?

Ah that really sucks on several levels. :(

Did he have any advice to keep the rest of your collection from catching it? ( I know they were in quarantine but I always panic  )

It sounds as though your husbandry suppressed the symptoms but the follicles remaining inside could have compromised the immune system and let it get hold in the first place with the previous owner?

I can't see most keepers noticing that follicles hadn't been re-absorbed though so I wouldn't hold that against the seller if I'm honest.
