    snake poop
It might seem a silly question but here it is:
How long does it normally take them to poop after a meal? I am new into keeping ball pythons, I had mine for about a month now, he is 6 months old het orange ghost, he only fed for a first time at ours last week, and I was wondering when can I expect him to poop?

Your snake will poop depending on the frequency and size of the feedings. My little male normal has only pooped once since I have had him but he is eating like crazy and has sausage butt right now, lol.

A lot of snakes are different. Some will poop 4-6 days after eating. Some will go every 2 weeks. I have one that will only poop right after she sheds and maybe once in between, why I don't know but that's what she does.

The frequency of their poo is dependent on how much and how often you feed them. The more you feed them the more they will poo. It could be once a week, or once a month.

I feed mine as close to 15% of her body weight as I can once a week. She normally poops with in 48 hours of shedding. Lately this is once a month or so. Some times I'll see a little poop about 1/4 of her normal at about the 2 week mark.

thanks everyone for replies - makes me feel much better now knowing that he doesn't have to poop every week.
