    Radiant heat panels heating advice
Can I just use the radiant heat panels that my boaphile cage came with to heat my boas cage?
If I can how do I attach the thermostat to it.

If not how do I put the heat pad into the cage? Do I just place it under and use the thermostat to heat it to a 90 hotspot?

The RHP on it's own should be able to heat the cage as long as it is the correct wattage/size.

There are a few ways to mount the probe. Where exactly is your RHP mounted?

Ok, so your main options for probe placement are:

    1. Attached directly to the "lens" of the RHP using hot glue or something similar.
    2. Suspended under the RHP ½ -¾ of the way up the cage.
    3. At substrate level secured so the snake can't move it.

The hot side still needs to be between 88-92 and the cool side still needs to be between 78-82. I would start off by setting the thermostat to 90 F and adjust as needed from there.

The area under the rph will be hotter then the other side of the cage right?

I use RHPs in my Proline cages and what I opted for was placing the thermostat probe in the cool end, a few inches away from the wall, to make sure the temps don't drop below the minimum that I want. Then I set my thermostat to 80 after tweeking it a few times and it works well for me. What type of thermostat are you using?
